My name is Brooke. I am a wife, mother of three, co-owner of a design firm, and (as the blog implies) generally Hanging On By A Thread. My life as you’ll see is one embarrassing moment, strange occurrence and catastrophe after another. It is my pleasure and my therapy to share them with you.
I was born and raised in the great state of Mississippi and graduated from Mississippi State University in 2000 with my bachelor’s degree in English and in 2002 with my master’s degree in English Education. I now live in a precious little town on the coast of Alabama. Needless to say, I love the South.
I am a child of the 80’s, and a teenager of the 90’s, which explains my love for The Bangles, Sixteen Candles, a good pair of hoops, and 90’s rap.
I married “Mr. Right” (Christian) in the Summer of 2002, and had my son “B” (Braden) in 2006, “Sister” (Madeline-Hart) in 2009, and “Willie J” (William) in 2012. All of which I sometimes think are trying to kill me. I despise laundry, love design, am an avid reader, enjoy cooking, travel as much as possible, love a great dining experience, and have written almost every day since I was a child.
Please feel free to stick around and laugh at my expense.
